Black Lantern is proud to announce that it has begun production on its first feature length documentary, LANDFALL. The film is based around the 2010 hurricane season and will provide a never before seen look inside the storm. Equipped with waterproof high definition equipment the crew will place themselves in the direct path of every single hurricane landfall. LANDFALL will be a holistic view of what happens in the event of a hurricane, from evacuation, to during the storm and the chilling aftermath. This year’s season is especially noteworthy due to the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, which our crew will documenting as they wait for the storms to occur. Unique to the film will be the personal story of the crew who are braving these storms. Their experiences on camera will add both perspective and entertainment to the project. Hurricanes…howling winds, snapping trees, crackling power lines…Landfall tells the daring tale of one film crew, who risked everything to capture never before seen footage of these massive monsters. Landfall is the first feature length film produced by Black Lantern and is set around the 2010 hurricane season. Landfall is a holistic view of what happens in the event of a hurricane, from evacuation, to during the storm and even the chilling aftermath. Unique to this film is the personal story of the crew who braved these storms. Their interactions caught on camera as well as video diary entries add a human and personal side to these forces of nature. Look for Landfall to be released in early 2011… slide 2
